Classic Preaux Clear is a product we are still currently testing!

Wipe on coating that provides extreme gloss and shine to old paint jobs. Perfect for patina and single stage vehicle, and works just as well on clear coated cars.

This product will hide swirls and scratches.

3-5 years of protection!

Can be topped with wax, detail spray, paint sealant or ceramic coating.

We will also be offering a special ceramic coating to go over Classic Preaux that will add 2+ years of protection!

How to use:
Proper surface preparation is critical to ensure you will get the desired and intended results along with the longevity that Classic Preaux can provide.
We always require that the vehicle be free of contaminants and oxidation. First step is to wash the vehicle, followed by an aggressive clay bar treatment. Best results can be achieved with a quick one step polish with a heavy to medium cutting pad on a random orbital polisher. We like to use a 1 step correction compound / polish that doesn’t have protection or fillers in the compound. Once this step is done, then we require you to wipe all of the surfaces with wax and grease remover that are to be coated with Classic Preaux Clear.

To apply Classic Preaux we mix it with a slow urethane reducer you can purchase from a local auto body supply shop. We mix 3oz of Classic Preaux Clear to 2oz of slow reducer. Once mixed, stir well.

For application we suggest a low pile, low gsm microfiber towel. We love to use the blue tear and rip off roll of rags from Walmart.

To begin, fold the rag so that no loose edges are available. Contact me for a video and I can show you.

Soak your application towel in Classic Preaux Clear, leaving no dry spots on the application side of your towel!

Apply the Classic Preaux Clear to the panel in a side to side motion with a 50% overlap. Reloading the application towel with Classic Preaux after about every 2nd or third pass.

You want to apply this heavy and thick! Always keeping the application towel wet with product.

The product gets very sticky, very fast. So if you get a run, catch it quick, within 2-3 minutes of application, other wise it will have to be sanded off and Classic Preaux Clear reapplied.

Please contact me with any question before application, as it’s not easy for a first time and a little bit different process from applying a ceramic coating since it drys so fast.

Once you’re satisfied with your results, let Classic Preaux Clear setup and dry for several hours!

Keep the vehicle dry for the first few days, while Classic Preaux is curing to avoid any issues caused by moisture. Vehicle can be washed after 14 days.

Our special ceramic coating for Classic Preaux Clear can be applied after 24 hours of curing from application of Classic Preaux Clear and will add another 2+ years of protection on top of Classic Preaux Clear and make the surface hydrophobic.
